By in house Blog Editor and Rain-Enthusiast, Stu PJ “it’s bloody raining again!” These are the words that I can almost feel echoing around Aotearoa this week as day after day of torrential downpours dampen shoes and moods of runners everywhere. I’ve only been running a few years but I feel like, for me anyway, this has been the longest patch of unnabated pissy weather that I’ve experienced. By Matthew Cutts, Auckland I don’t own a Garmin or any kind of sports watch. I’ve never been for a run with another person. I do have STRAVA on my phone, but I find the GPS so inaccurate it essentially serves as an expensive, subscription-based stopwatch. I signed up to STRAVA after entering my one and only organised run - The 2021 Waterfront Half Marathon. If I remember right, the App offered a 10 week, Half Marathon training plan.
