from Jobst Bittner, Founder and President of the March of Life Movement Dear Friends, I warmly greet all participants in the Marches of Life and wish you a successful event! After Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, antisemitism is rearing its ugly head once again around the world. Hatred of Jews has openly returned. No one would have thought it possible that 80 years after the Holocaust, crowds on the streets of the world would once again chant “Death to the Jews” and propagate the annihilation of Jewish life! At universities all over the world, Jews are attacked, insulted, and m ..read more

The Hebrew dates of Pesach fall on Nissan 15-22, 5784 – in our calendar on April 22-30, 2024. Pesach is also known as Festival of Liberation and it commemorates the events of the Book of Exodus, the freedom following departure from Egypt. But even as we are greeting you with wishes for Chag Sameach, we need to bear in mind the situation in Israel. What started on October 7, 2023, has now escalated with Iran’s huge attack on Israel. Clearly there was protection from God. Israel’s allies, including the United States of America, helped in intercepting enemy missiles and drones. For this we are g ..read more

We remain heartbroken over the gruesome massacre that has taken place in Israel. These horrific events are deliberate acts of pure hate. The attacks not only inflict enormous pain and suffering but arouse echoes of the past. As an organization whose mission is committed to Holocaust education, we recognize this as the most heinous assault against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Knowledge and learning are key to understanding history. These horrific events are deliberate acts of pure hate by a terrorist organization whose genocidal covenant has stated: “Israel will exist and will c ..read more

Anna Salton Eisen will be the featured speaker at the third annual Beauty for Ashes Luncheon, March 22, 2024, at the Kingwood Country Club. Click here for more information. As the daughter of Holocaust survivors, Anna Salton Eisen’s memoir, Pillar of Salt: A Daughter’s Life in the Shadow of the Holocaust, breaks down the barrier of silence that was intended as a protective shield for her parents and their children. From early childhood, Anna, as a second-hand witness to the Holocaust, felt overwhelmed by the unspoken but ever-present trauma of her parents’ past. Her father, born as Lucjan Sal ..read more

DALLAS, TEXAS, February 2024 – In 1933, over nine million Jews lived in Europe, working hard, and raising families in the harsh reality of the worldwide economic depression. By May of 1945, the number horrifically stood at three million. Following Adolf Hitler’s appointment as German chancellor on January 30, 1933, the road from persecution to genocide was paved with the lives of six million Jewish men, women, and children. The Third Reich and their collaborators had murdered two-thirds of the population of European Jews as part of a systematic “Final Soluti ..read more

Moshe Vardi  12/6/23 December 1, 2023, was my 30th anniversary at Rice University. I was not always a “happy camper” at Rice. At times, I had significant disagreements with Rice’s leadership; for example, I did not hesitate to criticize Rice’s response to the COVID pandemic. Yet I have always been proud of being a faculty member at Rice University. With deep chagrin, I have to admit that I can no longer say that. My first inkling of a problem brewing at Rice was in the fall of 2022. A group of students wished to start a club, Students Supporting Israel (SSI), to counteract ..read more

The article in this picture appeared recently in a national Croatian weekly news magazine. The Holocaust Garden of Hope has made international news! Here is a translation of the online summary (Editor’s note regarding the translation, there were approximately 600 guests at the opening, not 6): “The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, headed by Minister Goran Grlić Radman, kept silent, and the Croatian media did not notice, that the Croatian ambassador to the USA, Pjer Šimunović, was the main speaker at the opening of the “Garden of Hope dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust” on Sund ..read more
