Mantua Poppies One Year Olds | Wells | Whitney Beth Photography I can hardly believe it, but my little guy Wells just turned one! To celebrate this milestone, I took him to the Box Elder campground poppy field in Mantua, Utah, for his first birthday photos. This spot has always been special, but this year there was a bit of drama in the photo world surrounding the poppies. Early in the season, the forest service mowed down the poppy field due to the overwhelming number of visitors who weren’t being respectful. It was so sad to see! Despite this, some poppies still managed to bloom, and they ha ..read more

Salt Lake City Senior Photographer | Amanda | Whitney Beth Photography I just have to share Amanda’s senior photo session with you all because it turned out so beautifully! We headed up to the Utah State Capitol for a morning shoot, and we managed to catch the last bit of blossoms—making for some gorgeous shots. Morning sessions have such a magical vibe, and Amanda’s shoot was no exception. The soft, golden light of the morning sun lit up her natural beauty and highlighted the pretty blossoms around the Capitol. It was so peaceful with fewer crowds compared to peak bloom time, which made our m ..read more

Sandy Senior Photographer | Tanner | Whitney Beth Photography I recently had the pleasure of photographing Tanner’s senior session, and it was such a memorable experience. Tanner graduated from Jordan High, and we decided to split his photoshoot between the campus and the nearby wetlands park. Both locations provided the perfect backdrop for capturing this special milestone in his life. The light that day was golden and absolutely perfect, casting a beautiful glow over the entire session. We started at the Jordan High campus, where Tanner’s parents joined in for a few photos. It was so special ..read more

Orchard Extended Family | Huish | Whitney Beth Photography I recently had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful Huish family, and I just had to share the story behind our amazing shoot. Originally, we planned to have their session at the Capitol during peak blossom season. However, this year, the Capitol was the busiest I’ve ever seen. I had a senior session there a few days before, and it was nuts! It was impossible to shoot without people in the background, and that was with just one person, not a big family with 10 people and 2 dogs. I knew it would be too hard to photograph the Huish ..read more

Ensign Peak Portraits | Fields | Whitney Beth Photography I can’t believe my little flower baby, Fields, is five years old! Time has flown by so quickly. Fields has always had a deep love for flowers, so when I asked him where he wanted to take his birthday pictures, it was no surprise that he chose a place with tons of yellow flowers. I told him how Ensign Peak was blooming right now and he excitedly picked that location. We set out on an overcast evening, which provided the perfect soft light for our hike up the trail. As we reached a spot where the hillside was covered in yellow wildflowers ..read more

White Space Extended Family Photos | Jones | Whitney Beth Photography I’m excited to share with you a special tradition in my family – taking our own extended family pictures every year. We took them at White Space Studios in Sandy, Ut. As the oldest of 10 siblings, this tradition is a labor of love. It’s a lot of work, but I love being able to watch my family grow year after year. We recently took our 2023 family pictures on December 30th, squeaking in as our family pictures for the year. This year we weren’t able to get everyone there. My younger sister Hailey is currently on a mission in Fl ..read more
