Cheney, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City track team made their way to Cheney on Friday for the annual Vernon Ferguson Invitational, as they started off their second half of the season. In a meet that featured several Class 3A, and a few 4A, schools, the Beavers would see their boys take the team title, and the girls were fifth. Great Bend, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–We are less than a week away from regional competition, and on Friday, several area schools made their way to Great Bend for the Hoisnington Invitational. The meet was moved from Thursday, because of the potential threat of severe weather. Scott City would win the meet, defeating Meade by 12 points and Great Bend was third.
