I think some people are born with more resiliency than others especially depending on their childhood or the events of their lives. But I really do believe that it’s something that can be grown and developed. To me, resiliency is when you just keep going and you keep looking for the good even when you’re going through hard times. You adapt, adjust, and make tweaks along the way so you can keep…

It’s just so much to balance! It often catches me off guard if I’m not intentional about planning ahead and anticipating those challenges! Adam and I thankfully are able to teamwork the majority of these responsibilities. I don’t know what I’d do without us working together. However, it still can be quite overwhelming at times. This can be painstaking at times and takes some patience…

I was so honored to be invited! And I was so stoked to get to surf at one of the most iconic and intense surf breaks in the world with just 3 other girls out! Let’s go! Pipeline is usually insanely crowded so it can be hard to catch a wave, even if you have the skills to do so. I trained as hard as I could to be back in shape in time to surf this super challenging and dangerous wave. Adam…

Being a mom, a wife, an entrepreneur and a professional surfer while balancing everything else on my plate gets super crazy sometimes! Trust me, I know what it’s like to have those days of paralyzing stress – where making the smallest decision can put you over the edge of breaking down in tears. We’re in that season where everyone is trying to define their goals for the new year and hone in on their priorities. I thought I’d share two perhaps underrated goals that I think everyone should be focusing on in 2024! I am always trying to work on these! It’s really easy to become self-focused and forget about loving on those around us. Think of the people that you have in your life – your…

“Big wave surfing” in the surf world is considered surfing waves over about 20 feet high, so my waves at Jaws are definitely in that category. And yes, I did wipeout on some huge waves in the process – it was pretty gnarly. However, the whole experience of surfing Jaws was incredible and I would do it all over again! My documentary, Unstoppable, shows all the details of this.

I personally don’t think little boys should be in a desk or behind books for hours on end each day. That’s one of the reasons we are homeschooling. Adam has a teaching degree so he’s kind of spearheading it. We’re learning through fun play and like to make it really enjoyable for us and for them! It’s really easy to find ourselves pursuing the overly-busy American lifestyle that is so common.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20, tells us that: “your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God…you are not your own, for you were bought with a price”. Jesus bought you with a price and that price was shedding His blood, dying on the cross and rising again! You have been freed from sin and you are now free to use your body to serve Christ and others. How awesome!! Through faith...

It has been so amazing for me to think about the last 20 years and all that God has done with my story, both in my life and the lives of others. There has been such a huge ripple effect! I thought it would be fun to look back and kind of replay of all that has happened. On Oct. 31st, I was attacked by a shark and my left arm was traumatically amputated to my shoulder. However, I was determined not...
