The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has sworn in a new therapy dog, Officer Gus, who is now providing peer support to officers. Gus is a mini Australian Labradoodle born Sept. 19, 2022. He was bred for therapy work by Ashford Manor Labradoodles in Indiana and trained by Ultimate Canine.  Gus began training Nov. 2022 and had undergone three rigorous training levels. Tomah Police Department welcomes new therapy dog, Ruby, to the team

The Tomah Police Department has a new furry companion. Officers welcomed a labradoodle named Ruby to their team,Blueberry Cottage Labradoodles donated Ruby to the department. Ruby, who is only eight weeks old, will provide support to people in stressful situations. Officer Delaney Hanrahan, Ruby’s primary caretaker, plans to take Ruby into schools, hospitals and nursing homes. Hanrahan says dogs make the working environment more relaxing. “They just kind of give a calming presence and just another tool that we can use in our job setting,” Hanrahan said. “She’s just so cute. The Waterford Township Police Department is proud to announce its newest and most anticipated member of the police department. Our new guy is an Australian Labradoodle who is hypoallergenic and non-shedding. This little guy is going to be everyone’s favorite officer in the community. Since 2004, the ALAA has been the leader in education and responsible breeding practices for Australian Labradoodles. Consisting of over 4,000 members and 88,000 dog registrations, ALAA serves as the epicenter for a community of breeders and pet parents.
