Hi you two, the doodle romp was all I dreamed it would be, particularly having a chance to chat with each of you. Seeing Belle run around so excited was very cool too. I also had a lovely chat with a young woman who has a 6-month old baby. She was quite something. Thank you for your hospitality.
Here’s Belle at her ‘job’ as a therapy dog at a long term care facility. She &.I go on Thursdays.
Cheers and best blessings,
K

Good morning,
I hope you are doing well! We just wanted to send a little note with a Murphy update.
Murphy is making us all so happy. Every single person in the family is in love with him and he with them. He absolutely adores the kids. Like you told us he is not an adventurous dog and has to be acclimated to everything new, but once he adjusts he does great. We have a big city field behind our house and we can take him out there off leash and he runs and sniffs and we’re working on fetch. The most fun thing is hide and seek with the kids, where they each hide behind a tree and ..read more

Hello Luke and Connie,
The attached is a photo of our Charley who was adopted from you in Nov. 2011. He was born June 24,2011. His mother was Bree and father was Bobbi. Charley is well at almost 12 years of age. He has lived at our 130 acre farm all his life and leaves only for groomer and vet visits. When we travel – our friend moves into our house to provide care for Charley, our 2 horses, 4 chickens and one kitty cat. Charley is very well behaved always and has few requirements – his bed right beside us and lots of love. He was chocolate brown when we met him at your home. After about 3 gr ..read more

As your Cobberdog puppy grows and develops it will go through many stages. After you take your new little puppy home you may be surprised, frustrated or even freaked out at the behavior he/she is exhibiting. In this article I will lay out the different growth phases of your Cobberdog puppy, and hopefully it can be a reference for you to fall back on when you are not sure why your puppy is acting the way it is. It’s important to remember that a lot of the puppies misbehavior can be distasteful and obnoxious, but you are the person that must lead him to the proper ways of behaving.

I am asked by many families as they start on the journey of researching the perfect puppy and breeder for thier family and it’s needs, what about the imprint program.
Will my puppy be “messed up” changing homes after 12 weeks in the program?
Will my puppy have a hard time bonding to our family after the imprint program?
This is a letter from a puppy that just left us to go home after a 12 week train with Val. I have never had a family disappointed with a puppies bonding ability after a 12 week train. It is a wonderful experience for the whole family. All 4 of the trainers I work with do ..read more

If your family is getting ready to welcome a new human baby, congratulations! But, you may be apprehensive about what to expect from your Cobberdog as he/she senses the change of family dynamics. Babies are very demanding of parents attention and time. Good dog owners may be concerned that the dog, who is already a well loved part of the family, may feel neglected and become jealous of the baby. This is a legitimate concern, and if addressed properly will ensure your Cobberdog learns to accept and eventually bond with your new baby.
We have been able to successfully introduce all five of our y ..read more

Training your Cobberdog puppy can be a fun exciting challenge, and if done properly, a rewarding accomplishment. Training is a learned skill, just as most other life skills, requires understanding specific and basic knowledge.
Cobberdog puppies range from super intelligent, easily distracted to attentive, eager to please.
In the short clip above Lori is working with Uppa, a 14 week old male Cobberdog puppy. At the time of the recording Uppa has been in the training program at Arrowhead for 4 weeks. Uppa rates high in intelligence, and is easily distracted. These small nuances in the puppies te ..read more
