Oh hey! I'm Mado, aka Madeleine, aka your Colorado wedding, elopement, and couple photographer. I have been photographing people professionally for half of my life and I truly think it's what I was born to do. I live for those candid moments, making your guests smile, pumping you up with validation, befriending your dog, and creating art out of your memories.

One of the only silver linings to come from COVID wedding postponements was getting to photograph Abbie and JJ’s wedding TWICE! I had the honor of capturing their elopement in 2020, and then finally their big celebration in 2021. Their elopement in Breckenridge was an intimate celebration with their family at an Airbnb they rented, surrounded by fall colors, aspen trees, and mountainous views. When you really love someone, sometimes you can’t wait to get married. In Abbie and JJ’s case, they just wanted to start their life together and knew their friends and family would be there for the celeb ..read more

Tilda and Addison decided to celebrate getting recently engaged with a mountainous photo engagement session! They traveled all the way from Texas and wanted their engagement photos to showcase Colorado’s diverse beauty, from the pine trees to the mountainous overlooks. I scouted the perfect spot for them near Woodland Park with stunning views of Pike’s Peak. Something I do for my couples is pick a custom location based on precisely what kind of backdrops they like. Tilda and Addison couldn’t believe how perfect this location was, from the mountain views to the incredible pink sunset skies. It ..read more

It goes without saying that I LOVED photographing Evan and Lisa’s wedding at the Surf Hotel and Chateau in Buena Vista, Colorado! Evan and Lisa are the coolest couple and I had been excited about their wedding since 2020. Thank you 2021 for allowing them to finally celebrate!
Before their getting ready photos, I took a few laps around the hotel (like I always do before a wedding. I scope out the best photo spots beforehand!) I was immediately inspired by the hotel’s unique architecture, decor, and large windows that provided my *favorite* soft window light. It’s honestly a freaking aweso ..read more

Jayden and Blaine created the perfect hybrid between an elopement and a small wedding. Since they aren’t from Colorado, they wanted somewhere that showcased all of Colorado’s natural beauty while still being immersed in nature with their guests. They decided on St. Mary’s Glacier which not only has stunning mountainous views, but a snowy glacier year round (this was in June!) and a gorgeous lake at the base of the glacier. It pretty much has everything you could want from Colorado. They did want to include some friends and family, as well as a wedding party. Most of my elopements are just me a ..read more

Colorado engagement and couple sessions are my favorite ways to get to know my couples! This is a great chance to get comfortable with your photographer and capture authentic memories of this time in your relationship.
I wanted to share some of my favorite engagement session tips to keep in mind for YOUR dream engagement session.
01. Make a day (or evening) out of your session! This session is all about your love for each other, so taking time to reflect on your relationship beforehand will help you get into the lovey-dovey mood. If timing allows, you can grab a drink or take a romantic walk t ..read more

Madi and Hayden’s destination wedding at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico finally came true! I say finally because these two had to reschedule not once, not twice, but three times due to the unpredictable events of 2020. They were so patient waiting for their dream day to happen, so when April 30, 2021 finally came around, their celebration was well deserved! I originally met Madi and Hayden at their engagement session at Lookout Mountain when I first moved to Colorado. Then we did another engagement session, round 2, in 2020 for their updated save the ..read more

Michelle and Ricky started their elopement day at a rented VRBO cabin near Lyons, Colorado where we captured getting ready photos as well as their “first touch” (kind of like a first look except you don’t see each other, you just talk to each other and can hold hands while hidden behind a wall!) I always recommend renting a VRBO near your ceremony site where you can capture those exciting pre-ceremony shots. Then we moved to Brainard Lake near Ward, Colorado which is one of my favorite mountain + water views that is easily accessible via a short 3-minute walk from the parking lot! The o ..read more

Lindsey and Cam’s engagement photography session on Guanella Pass near Georgetown, Colorado was stunning to say the least. Guanella Pass was lined with wildflowers, alpine tundra, mountainous views of Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans, and greenery during this summer engagement session. I actually said out loud “oh my gosh” when I first pulled into the parking lot, because it was so breathtakingly beautiful. Guanella Pass even has little lakes that are an easy walk to access. This would also be such a gorgeous spot for a Colorado elopement, encompassing ALL of Colorado’s natural beauty.

When Emily and Collin told me one of their favorite spots is Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, I knew it would be the perfect spot for their summer engagement session! Garden of the Gods is such a unique part of Colorado, with dramatic red rock formations as far as the eye can. It is also lined with gorgeous mountainous views and a wide spectrum of beautiful colors. Plus, the sunset we got on the night of E+C’s engagement session was unreal. It reminded me of an Arizona sunset with warm, golden rays soaking the couple in a beautiful light. It was such a dreamy backdrop to show off their ..read more
