This Is Why We LOVE ProposalsProposal Details: These moments can never be recreated.  They are epic, amazing, raw, and fleeting.  If there was something about work that brings the most satisfaction in the morning it’s that we could help her relive how she felt.  This is not just for a next day thing but for a lifetime.  To get to that level you have to get the full array of emotions.  This is the pre proposal reaction when she senses it coming.  There is the proposal moment which is kinda what guys are thinking when they start searching.  There is then ..read more

Winter Proposal in the Sapphire Point AreaProposal Details: We hear a lot of people want a (singular) photo of the proposal.  Perhaps that is for social media sake. While these blogs are certainly not all photos we believe capturing the full array of emotion is what is far better.  They had about 50 from the full progression of the proposal.  You could see her facial expression as she started to sense the proposal was coming.  Before he was even on a knee her hands were going up.  These proposal moments cannot be faked or remade.  People have told us how they can ..read more

Sunset Proposal Around Sapphire PointProposal Details: If you have spent much time looking at our blog you will get the impression that we are really into proposals.  We would likely need to have a sit down with a therapist to determine if we are obsessed with them.  I think what we know is that we love them.  There is so much raw emotion to them that you cannot recreate.  Moments come and go so quickly and we are capturing those memories for a lifetime.  How could we not find such attraction to capturing proposals?  It is thee pivotal moment in your life when th ..read more

Covered Bridge Proposal in Vail ColoradoProposal Details: Red is a great color for a photoshoot in the Colorado winter.  There is something about that pop of vibrant color.  There are so many earth tones in the trees and vegetation.  Add to that the white snow in the winter and red is a color that makes you stand out.  This was not coordinated but she matched the red rose petals on the ground at the proposal spot.  We always love the rose petals as it is really hard for a guy to miss the intended spot. They were in Vail around the Thanksgiving November timeframe. &nbs ..read more

Elopement at Twin Lakes in ColoradoElopement Details: Wedding terminology is getting a little more dynamic.  We have been hearing of many people eloping . . . with 10-15 people.  Our take is we are calling that a mini wedding.  The implication of a mini wedding is you will need less time that a normal wedding day.  When it comes to elopements the standard understanding is that is two people.  The real use of the word is for those people that run away and get married without parental consent.  I am not sure we have ever had parents in this day and age not be for t ..read more

North Georgia Farm Wedding with Peak Fall ColorsWedding Details: We absolutely love this wedding venue in North Georgia.  The Ruins on the Kellum Valley Farm make for a highly unique stone landscape.  It was a home that just has the foundation and fireplace left.  The farm house has a back entrance where the women have some space for getting ready.  There is a tent space in over there that looks to be an alternate for receptions.  The guys got ready in a barn.  There is a pool area with a fountain where guests can chat during cocktail hour. The wedding was on the ..read more

Fall Wedding at The Oaks at Plum CreekWedding Details: The Oaks at Plum Creek is a newer wedding venue on the south side of the Denver area in Castle Rock, CO. It is a medium large venue for larger guest counts.  It was remodeled in 2020 which as you might imagine will make for a slower start as many large weddings were not happening.  When we first saw some stuff show up for the venue for the longest time there were only styled shoot images showing up. Nonetheless they did well with the remodel.  The women have a very spacious space for getting ready.  By spacious we mean ..read more

Fall Engagement Proposal in the Botanic Gardens Proposal Details: Marriage proposals are one of those high pressure events.  Women want them but there is this growing pressure on guys to make it special. Long gone are the days when you can pause the football game to propose on the couch. What we find though in all this pressure we hear of is that women really care the most about the reality of what happens.  Everyone else is focused on the ‘how did he do it’ topic. Enter what we do to balance how to give the guy the help to make it special and produce a story but to capture how she f ..read more

Gorgeous Proposal Location by Lake in ColoradoProposal Details: The fall in Colorado can be beautiful.  The colors can be dynamic when at their peak of change. Add to that the snow starting to come in with cool air. When rain comes that really means dusted snow on the above tree line mountains. Put that all together with a lake and this is the conditions for this shoot. It is not to say that we do not love other times of year but this one is a narrow window of it looking this way. Twin Lakes was gorgeous on this fall day. We are always trying to improve how we do proposals.  In ..read more

Fall Colors Mountain Lake EngagementEngagement Details: With all the years of shooting we are starting to be able to forecast out the mountain fall colors quality. The spring brought a ton of moisture in Colorado. The temperature and wind were also favorable later in the year.  The result were extremely vibrant trees at Twin Lakes.  The Aspen trees we started with had this yellow and burnt orange look.  We note this as some years you might get a quick change over or that yellow to brown look. What was a little different this year was that it was slightly delayed then quick ..read more
