Cybertruck Winch - a guide from Novawinch
Novawinch

If you’ve seen this off-road video of the Cybertruck from Tesla having difficulty, then you know getting stuck in this beast is going to take a serious winch to get free. With a curb weight of over 6,800 lbs, a modest 1.5x multiplier is used to get the approximate winch rating you’d want to have. A 12,000 lb capacity puts us in the right territory. Winches like our Novawinch PRO 12500 or Stinger+ 12,000 start to look like a good answer as they are built for vehicle recovery for the likes of larger Jeeps and trucks. These winches typically have excellent seals, quality electronics and fast line ..read more

3 Reasons why this should be your winch
Novawinch

Our FENIX Series winches are the world’s best. This isn’t just our opinion - it’s the opinion of countless owners and vehicle manufacturer that continue to rank this winch #1 in test after test. Here’s the 3 reasons we consistently rank #1: No Short Cuts. Starting with our our exclusive Novawinch-made motor, we selected fat copper windings built in-house by our team of experts. The result is a motor that cools faster and provides more torque. Our drum is machine-welded steel for added strength and a forged spline that transfers power from the mighty gearbox. Our gears are large-diameter stee ..read more

The world’s greatest synthetic rope winch.
Novawinch
by Jon Mason

Ever since man put synthetic rope on a winch, it’s been a compromise. A compromise in winch construction, rope safety and even customer safety. Today, NOVAWINCH rights that wrong with the Pro Series winch - the world’s greatest synthetic rope winch. Rope matters. Traditionally, winches had aircraft-cable grade wire rope. It’s resilient, can take a bend and doesn’t give a hoot about heat. Winch design remains stubbornly traditional - very little has changed design-wise since since the dawn of the recovery winch. You’ve got a high speed motor, a planetary gear system to turn that speed into powe ..read more

How to lift a Jeep hard top with a hoist (or lifting winch)
Novawinch

I love my Jeep hardtop - as cooler weather reminds me it’s time to replace the soft top, I welcome the warmth and sturdiness a hard top provides my Jeep YJ. What I don’t love is moving and storing the hard top when I am not using it. The solution I like best is take a winch built for lifting and use it to hoist the Jeep top up, up and away. No one pinches any fingers, I am not grunting with the weight on my back and no glass windows get damaged (don’t ask). Best of all, this winch won’t break the bank. The Novawinch CH500 is the winch I choose for this kind of operation - lifting. Rated for up ..read more

Something new.

We believe you can build an amazing winch at a reasonable price without cutting corners. We believe everyone deserves a winch as good as our new winch series. From big things like ensuring the winch plus remote is fully IP rated to little things like coaxing the last bit of power from your motor, there’s so much a quality winch builder can do. Unfortunately, there are not too many of us left these days. We’re extremely proud of our narrow focus: our company only produces winches and hoists. No microwaves, no coolers, no bikes - just winches. Our focus allows us to do things others just can’t ..read more
