This seemingly popular “home of North American comfort food” chain, with a restaurant based in Sheffield City Centre, prides itself on great sharing platters and their lodge inspired surroundings. If you’re looking for some decent stacked burgers, burritos, loaded fries etc, then this is a decent place to be. But did our visit live up to the hype? Read my full review here. This Brewski branch is based at West One, Sheffield City Centre (the previous OHM yard), and has been changed slightly to reflect the décor and vibe of a North American lodge. Brewski make everything in house from their ..read more

We were kindly invited over to try the “Pie Tuesday” offering where you can enjoy a meal and a drink from just £13…here’s what we thought... The Acorn Inn one of our local Greene King pubs, is an old stone, former Coaching Inn built in 1868. The pub is filled with traditional character and offers a great spot for lunch, evening dining with the family, or catching up with friends, with great value food in cosy surroundings. We have visited The Acorn Inn a few times now for food; it’s just a decent, traditional pub to go to for a few drinks and so convenient for down to earth, value for money food too. This is a Greene King franchise but has all the character a small country pub has to offer as well as a great, large covered outdoor ..read more

My inspiration from this recipe came from a few places; Firstly, you don’t often see chicken mince in budget supermarkets so in all honestly this was the first time I have used it, because it’s ALWAYS available in Lidl (my preferred and closest supermarket) AND it’s lower in calorie than most beef mince. Secondly, I received some “Very Lazy “Cajun Paste in last month’s Degustabox so I wanted to give it a whirl. I also used this paste on another recipe in the same week for Cajun Beef Chilli (recipe to come soon). This meal was really filling and great value for calories. It was tasty and easy-p ..read more
