This dessert was created after discussing with my BFF Michelle what we could create with her elderflower curd recipe and she suggested a Sabayon, which ended up being a Zabaione. Sadly in the end we couldn’t get together this week so I used a lemon curd, which cuts through the custard beautifully. I’m sure I can convince Michelle to share her elderflower curd recipe with us at a later date. The Zabaione recipe I have used comes from ‘The Vegan Italian Kitchen‘ so check out that blog if you fancy this custard in cream horns, which does sound amazing! I also had to give up gluten a couple of years back, due to an intolerance, so there will be plenty of gluten free friendly recipes to be found here. Don’t worry if you’re not gluten free, you can sub in your delicious gluten. I wasn’t huge on cooking before I decided to be vegetarian, I’d cook up an occasional ‘Sunday dinner’ or spaghetti on request but it didn’t really interest me. Then when I was transitioning, I started to experiment and try new things. I found that I h ..read more
