2 Thessalonians 2:3-9 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed... Spirit-filled churches, but what spirit?

I had someone who ask me why he should go to a church that followed the scriptures when he was already going to a 'spirit-filled church' and thus was fine. But after seeing what can happen with Oral Roberts back in the day, and the Word of Faith preachers Kenneth Hagin , Kenneth Copeland, and Benny Hinn, etc.. and the movement behind it. I have to say, test the spirit. Many Word of Faith teachers use phrases such as "little gods" to describe believers. Kenneth Hagin wrote that God had... Read more ..read more

Sola Scriptura, where the Reformation Failed.

I had this in my notes but have lost them somehow, and searched for a while and finally came across the explanation... ' Sola scriptura. Martin Luther and his contemporaries claimed this Latin phrase, meaning “Scripture alone,” was the basis for their efforts to reform Catholicism and reject the authority of the pope and Catholic tradition. Unfortunately, a major problem arose: they couldn’t fully agree on what and how to reform. Some wanted to move fast with... Read more ..read more

Where did the Bible come from? - Shot out of a canon

The purpose of this topical thread is to discuss where the Bible came from. I keep encountering forum members that seem to have no clue, or at least some misconceptions about the origins, history, issues and substance of the scriptures. I invite others to share their knowledge on the subject. The link below is the best thing I have read on the subject. I plan to post a few quotes from it. Please offer your own. Thanks. Eternal Torment Or Annihilation? What Happens To The Wicked
Christianity Board Forum » Christian Apologetics

I hope many can join this discussion on the fate of the wicked, as it is a important topic which has been hard to understand, with many pastors and ministers preaching a eternal torment of sinners, saying that the fires there are never quenched or the wicked destroyed. But do the wicked get to live forever too, with the Devil in charge with his minions tormenting the sinners in a underworld, does it mean that the fire doesn't consume. Lets see what the scripture says. The Devil from the... Read more ..read more

If god existed and if he wanted to he could have created every living being without the intelligence to know the true sinister nature of himself. He could have put everyone in an illusion that is so hard to understand for those within it, that they couldn't know he is the one who caused evil. If that happened, we humans wouldn't know it because we would be under his spell. If god were truly that sinister, he would force us to not know it by using his powers to disable us from knowing to use... Read more ..read more

Why didn't god give every soul as much time as it needed to become good? Why send so many to hell?

The bible god is evil, even by his own standards. If he was good, then he would give every soul as much time as necessary to turn good and turn to him. Every soul would turn to god, if given enough time to fight the evil within by experience. Every soul has evil and good within itself and the evil parts are dumber than the good parts. Good is smarter than evil, which means if it's given enough time to fight evil, it will eventually eradicate it thru its own orchestra. The bible of course... Read more ..read more

Satan as Scapegoat

Satan as the Scapegoat This Blogstyle post was written to explain to the Adventists that hung around one of my Facebook groups why Christians find their doctrine of the Scapegoat objectionable. 1) Animals in the Old Testament were supposed to be "without defect", foreshadowing and symbolizing Christ "being without sin". Satan does not fit this, only in his early days "as a ministering Cherub" before his Fall would he fit this. In his actual state, Satan is the antithesis of this... Read more ..read more

"10 Commandments" vs. "The Mosaic Law"
Christianity Board Forum » Christian Apologetics

Prologue The Following is part of a Blogging series that I did where I covered a YouTube video put out by "Answering Adventism" that covers probably the most impressive sounding Biblical proof of Seventh Day Adventists. Seventh Day Adventists presuppose a split in what Christians call "The Mosaic Law", where the Decalogue aka "10 Commandments" are split from it. As the video author informs us later in the video "Such a split in the Torah is necessary in order for their theology to... Read more ..read more
