The Primacy of Prophecy
By Tim Moore
“Can your idols make such claims as these? Let them come and show what they can do!” says God, the King of Israel. “Let them try to tell us what occurred in years gone by, or what the future holds… Yes, that’s it! If you are gods, tell what will happen in the days ahead! Or do some mighty miracle that makes us stare, amazed. But no! You are less than nothing and can do nothing at all.” (Isaiah 41:21-24, The Living Bible)

Guarding the Glorious Gospel of God
By Mike Gendron
The greatest attack on the Christian faith today is on the exclusivity and purity of the Gospel. That is because the exclusivity of the Gospel is a declaration that all other faiths are false. No one can come to God except through the atoning death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). No other religion offers a savior and no other religion offers salvation by God’s grace alone.
The Willful Compromise of the...

I was at church today and the message was on John 4. Jesus and the women of Samaria at the well. The pastor made a comment that is weighing on me. He made the assertion that the entire conversation between Jesus and the women is not recorded in the Bible. All the Bible records is the “important” part of their conversation. I’m troubled by this. Why would the pastor say this? How can he possibly know that they spoke about other things? And even if he does believe that why would he...

Hello everybody, constantly lurking but haven't been signed in for a bit.
Hope everyone is well!
TL;DR:
My neighbour is in a Christian cult that is grace-by-works and denies the Trinity.
---
I'm looking for some advice on how to talk with my neighbour.
She moved in next door about 5 years ago and we've grown quite close in that time, gradually finding out things like we're both voracious readers and Christian - herein lies the problem.
Just recently I found she isn't actually Christian...

Note to members: kindly vet this article in the light of Scripture. I wrote this in response to questions about the eternal fate of children (both born and unborn)
Constructive criticism welcome.

According to Scripture, every person who has ever been conceived has their name recorded in the Book Of Life.
God says that life begins at the moment of conception, when the male seed fertilizes the female egg to form a zygote which contains ALL the information necessary to...

The Goodly Word That Saveth The Soule
Of Those Who Minister the Word
Psalm 119:113-117
" I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually."
This...

Hi, I wasn't sure which thread this belonged in, so I'm posting it here.
I have a question about how we as Christians should view/feel about the death penalty? It's something I've grappled with for a long while but I think I need a comprehensive idea about it from more seasoned brethren.
So, if a criminal commits a crime that the justice system deems worthy of the death penalty, how should we view this in light of who we are called to be as Christians?
I always appreciate everyone here...

A Call To Repentance
By Dave Hunt
It is now nearly 500 years since October 31, 1517. We need a new Reformation-this time more biblical and thorough. We are drowning in “political correctness.” Having changed from a president who couldn’t define “is,” we have one who persists in calling Islam “peace” in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary. What the Bible clearly calls sin is whitewashed as “alternate” styles of living. Nothing is wrong, so nothing is right. The church has...

Hi, my husband thinks I'm kookoo for believing that we could be very close to the rapture of the church (I have never claimed to know this with 100% certainty, of course) but he says we can't know. I tell him you can't know the day nor the hour, but you can tell what time of day it is by looking at the signs. He doesn't believe me.
Now I'm starting to question myself, because anytime I bring it up he smirks and rolls his eyes at me.
Am I wrong in thinking we can know the signs of the...

Good, bad or ugly? My local Baptist church, of which I have been having concerns about, is going to have this man give a sermon at our church? Is this a cause for concern? I've heard his name before but not familiar with his background or Christian persuasion, if you get my drift ..read more
