I am 25 pounds overweight and I started IF 4 weeks ago. I do 16:8 religiously, with CICO. No weight loss so far. I feel more energetic and less hungry but I am curious how long after you started IF weight started to come off, especially for the ones with excess 25-30 pounds ?? Thanks..

Ok maybe I was led to believe this would be easier than I thought. I know two weeks isn’t a long time but I wasn’t expecting to gain seven pounds.
For context I’m at the gym 3-4 times per week. Averaging 5-6k steps per day. IF 18:6-20-4 w/ one cheat day per week. Capping calories at 1600. Low Sodium (except for my cheat day). Not doing Keto but shooting for low carbs daily. I take Fiber to stay regular. I know my activity is average but I feel like pushing myself physically to get progress (which I’m not opposed to) would make IF pointless from a weight loss perspective. It wouldn’t be much d ..read more

I just completed an 89 hour fast as of last thursday. I lost 10 pounds. Now I was expecting to gain some of that back but as of today (tuesday) I regained ALL of the weight. My wife asys it is because I did not refeed properly. What is the proper way to refeed? I am guessing that the right way is to eat an egg or two.

I (27 F, 5'5) started 16:8 fasting 8 weeks ago, along with going low carb, cutting out sugar and gluten out completely and also cutting fast food and generally eating way healthier. I eat 3 meals a day, no snacks but occasionally have been skipping a meal and did a couple of 24 hours fasts this month. I've lost 21lbs in 7 weeks so far. Some weeks I only loose 2 lbs and others I loose 4 or 5. Should I be concerned about gallstones or losing too much weight too quickly?
Edit: Added timeline and some number errors I fixed

I'm a 39M SW 255lbs TW 205 and CW 200. I've been doing the 20:4 since 7/1/23 and lost all the weight. I'm well accustomed to my schedule and OMAD essentially. Now that I've lost the weight I have hitting the weights pretty hard while upping my protein intake. The problem I think is I'm still at a caloric deficit every day. Can I still gain muscle weight and tone up with this deficit or do I need to rethink the 20:4?

I just want to say since starting IM fasting I lost 9 pounds. This is the most progress I’ve made in 2 years. I am so happy to be dropping out of the 180s. I’ve been fasting for 5-6 weeks now and I’m just really happy to finally be making progress.

I’m a little blown away myself actually seeing this side by side. I don’t remember being THAT large, but pictures don’t lie I guess.
