So what’s y’all using and liking ? Air craft bits , fostners etc …    i been using dewalt 3/16 and 1/8 aircraft bits for a while .. only cause they readily available at big boxes .. they ok , and cheap enough to replace often.. but I’m guessing there must be better out there ..    and fostners I been through every cheap set out there and some are totally decent out the box but dull quick on anything that nots soft wood .. honestly the cheap harbor freights seem to hold up the best out cheap ones ..    Curious to hear what everyone else likes and is using . Other than jigs, sinkers and such I know minimal about pouring metal.  Wifey poo has really gotten into ceramics and we now have two kilns for ceramic pottery.  I'm sure I could design moulds for plastic,  but could I pour lead or tin?   ..read more

Dumb Question? Cut a lure to make it jointed?

Hey there, I figure this would be the place to ask a possible dumb question as the talent in this sub-section is unreal. I have zero ability to make my own plugs but had a thought. Before I go ahead and butcher a plug or two, but is it feasible to cut a plug and rewire to make it jointed?   For example, I have a few of the same RM Smith floating needles where I think having a jointed option would be great however he doesn't make a jointed needle (nor do many builders).
