I am looking to pour my own fluke balls or "silver bullets". I am aware of the pain ball molds but is there one specifically for a fluke ball that has the second eyelet in there and room for the swivel OR must I take a rotary tool and modify the plain ball mold?
thanks in advance ..read more

I want to make my own Bucktails to jig for Fluke, I purchased Ultra Minnow Do-it molds in the 1/2 - 1 1/2 oz as well as 2 - 4 oz size. Recommended hooks for the larger mold are Mustad 91715 in 8/0 size. That hook might be Ok for Bass and Blues but seem way big for Fluke! What type / size hook would you guys recommend for Bucktails in the 2 - 4oz size for Fluking? Thanks for your help guys always appreciated ..read more

OWNER 5317 VS MUSTAD 32824...
Any old schoolers that pour their own have experience with the two? Searched the forum for this topic but no hits.
Last season made a bunch of heads using VMC 7161'S... MISTAKE w/ 20 lb class fish stretching open the gaps No lost fish. No fully straightened hooks. But unsettling so will upgrade the hardware to one or the other.
