On Monday, a sizeable audience of residents gathered at the Embassy Suites Boston to discuss preliminary plans for development at 120-128 Gove Street, which includes the site of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
In September 2015, it was announced that Mount Carmel Church and its property had been sold to Frankfort Gove LLC. Fast-forward to March 2019, the abovementioned entity had a project encompassing four parcels at 115, 120, 128-134 Gove Street, and 21-43 Frankfort Street approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency’s (BPDA) Board.

Boston East Gallery, located at 126 Border Street in Boston East Apartments, has taken down its permanent collection of art to host Beyond Border, an exhibit of painting and mixed media art by members of the East Boston Artists Group (EBAG).

The annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai will culminate at a new finish line this year – inside the heart of the city, at the Boston Common due to ongoing construction in Copley Square. Jessica Karevicius of East Boston, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Karevicius was initiated at University of Massachusetts.
