I know that’s uncommon for most to create these things but there pretty expensive for what they are soo I’m trying to make my own all they do is keep a string of rotating blades in track and prevent line twisting. I’m making them out of unused dividers from tackle box’s . The one with the blades is a store bought version of the unit I’m just trying to shrink it down to my local water ..read more

I just cleaned out my Tackle box from last year. I noticed that out of a dozen and a half or so spinners only one has barrels and blades that are shiny. They've all developed a "patina". I tend to fish to the bank from 25-40’ out. Especially May June July. I like it. Suits my abilities. In this practice I tend to do a lot of skipping toward and hopefully under over hanging cover. Mostly I use Kieteck Shiner or smaller Kieteck Impact. The clearer the water the better Shiners work and it would seen vs versa. I never felt perfectly good with the 3” and 4” felt too large.
