TRAILER FOR AN E-BIKE.

As I get older I find I'm less able to access most of my local fishing spots. I already have an E- Bike with fat tyres that I often ride on my local beach for pleasure. My marks are surf beaches on the Bristol channel so lots of moving back on the incoming tide. Over the years I have perfected how much gear I need to take but I'm struggling with that. I know plenty of anglers have developed different types of trolleys to pull or push on beaches with a fat tyres and I just wonder if anyone... TRAILER FOR AN E-BIKE ..read more

[“Gift horse” fishing rods package] Picked up my friend’s offering of his unused gear this week: we hadn’t discussed what it actually comprised, but it was 4x rods (he thought he only had 3x) plus 1x fixed reel. I was hoping for a multiplier reel in the mix, but sadly not. Condition of rods’ guides is their Achilles heel all round: all of them have some corroded or trashed or missing guides ! Firstly, a 2-piece Fladen "Charter Beach" rod (3.6m ~ 12’) with trashed tip guide and wearing a... "Gift horse" rods package ..read more

Hey all, I'm getting ready for some shore fishing action around Malaga and Cadiz (Spain), and I need a bit of guidance on my gear setup. While I've had a bit of fishing experience, I'm basically starting anew. Here's where I stand: I've got a 22lbs braided main line paired with a 30lbs casting leader. But I'm starting to think this setup might be too light for what I have in mind. My rig includes a Shimano Alivio 425 rod and a Shimano Aerlex 10000XTB reel with a capacity of 0.35mm-400m /... Hello all, my little dory loves to take on spray particularly onto the rods and reels in the holder at the back. I’ve got a sustain and stradic I’ve been using occasionally and worrying over and would like something I don’t have to wince about every time we get a splash. the spheros swa looks nice but doesn’t seem to be on sale anywhere. There’s a slammer iv perhaps as a rival or no idea what daiwa offers in similar 3500/4000 sizing other than reading Alan hawks bg mq review which was not... UK Wet Boat Spinning Reel ..read more

Would love to hear of others experiences of this rod. Just had another successful raid in Wales to pick up a rather nice example. Outstanding custom build to boot by the late, great Phil Hyde. Just sent for new tip tape, shrink tube, reel seat and fuji butt cap to make it to my taste and looking forward to giving her a whirl. Feels lovely in the hand, terrific sensitivity in the... Just tested the breaking strain of some light lines I use for fly leaders and not that impressed with the results. Tied the line to a size 2 hook with an untucked half blood then to the hook of a set of Avon scales: Amnesia clear 6lb - broke at the hook knot dead on 6lb Rio power flex plus 7.5lb - broke mid line at 4.5lb Wychwood fluoro 5lb - broke at mid line at 3lb Maixima ultra green 8lb - broke at the hook at 6lb Ok not empirically scientific but reasonable, this followed a friend who...
