As you have seen from my post pictures, soft plastics are my main source of lures and most of those lures catch most fish species in most waters. I have all the equipment to pour my own and also take parts of stored lures and attach them to other lures using a candle flame to make new shapes and sizes. In the past I would look forward to getting Cabela's and Bass Pro catalogs in Dec. and treat myself to new stuff that looked infallible. Sad to say, most of those lures are stored in a cabinet... What would be a couple of good rods and reels for this type of deep sea fishing. I have a few older 6' and 7' glass conventional boat rods. Spinning or conventional. I think they fish for Black sea bass, Tog and othe wreck bottom fish. Thanks ..read more

Hi All! I hadn't been spending time on here for a long while so thought I would post some of what I've been doing! Trying to get a tackle business going again since moving to SC, so time has been limited. Love living in SC! Lots of fishing & friendly folks! Miss family still in MD, and some of the fishing there too! Unfortunately no Smallmouth Bass here. All the following are jigs I've made. Heads are powder painted. I've got over 300 molds & can make a lot of different things... Pouring, painting & tying! Striper, Bass & Redfish Jigs ..read more

A few months ago I was rooting around in the barn and found an old Aluminum Tackle Box. It even has reel storage clamps in the lid. I found a couple of old Pfluger and a Penn trolling reels, a Shakespeare and Pfluger knuckle busters and a pair of Mitchell 308's along with an assortment of old rods. I've cleaned and greased the reels and matched all but one on one of the old rods. I picked up a rod for the Pfluger Nobby at Bass pro Last night. I didn't want... Classic Tackle ..read more
