Years ago I had a Stan Sloan black light, it bit the dust several years back. Never have found a good replacement for it. Right now using some of the LED black light strips. Maybe I bought the wrong type. I mounted a double strip on a removable frame and it's ok, but not great. Maybe I didn't buy the best kind, I really don't remember what it was called. Any of you guys use the black lights for fluorescent line at night? Thanks ..read more

Was curious to what others are thinking concerning lake erie in the west end. We have had a couple hard days pulling cranks and was thinking about the water temps and transitions. Fished are stacked all around kellys to Cedar point and water temps were around 51 to 53 at the surface. This is my first year trolling with cranks and I am obviously not very good at it, seeing reports on FB. Anyone been giving harnesses a shot yet ..read more

Bought BoatEFX's GraphLOX. Locks are so much better than what I previously used to secure my electronics. All aluminum, and heavy duty. Not only that, but look nice on the units, and boat. Everything from this company has been top notch ..read more

This is something that has driven me nuts for years. My hooks, snaps, swivels, etc. all getting mixed up. I'm curious what is your favorite terminal tackle box? I'm sure everyone has to have something that has worked for them or doesn't work. My buddy put me on this Plano that costs a little more, but man did it save me a headache last year of trying to find stuff when I needed it quickly. https://amzn.to/4cy3umI
I did a little review on how I have mine set up and how it...

I'm a little pissed at myself.
Took my reels to a shop to get cleaned lubed and repaired and new bearings and such.
Well got them back but one reel does not look like one I dropped off. Real close but does not seem like mine. I'm pissed at myself for not taking pictures of them or not scribing I'd on them. So just a heads up.
I can not accuse a person unless I have evidence to prove it. All innocent until proven guilty.
I will not make that mistake again.
It was s nice old Shimano bantam...

I use mostly St. Croix Premier spinning rods (although I do have an Avid) but a few years ago I bought a St. Croix Triumph to fish for Wipers. We got into a bunch over two nights and the rod handled each fish without a hitch. I was more than pleased with it and would consider another.
My question: Is there really that much difference between a Premier and a Triumph model? (No, I don't want an Avid or more expensive model). Myself, I can't feel the difference. The Premiers are made...

I've not kept up with name brands for Bait cast reels, for several years. So, when I decided to start shopping for a new one, brands like Lew's and Kastking are foreign to me.
I've watched several videos on the Kastking Spartacus II and have been very impressed with its' performance....especially for less than $50. In years past, I have always owned Shimano and have been happy with them, but their pricing has gone thru the roof.
