In case anyone’s had the same issue. Just bought a sxs and have been scratching my head on how I want to carry my rifle on this thing. Really don’t like any of the options I’ve been looking at in line. Over head racks make me nervous, don’t like those vertical mounts to the grab bar idea then after those there’s just not a ton of options. I am in the market for a new backpack. I do multiple backpacking trips a year, looking into a 5900-7000 cu in pack. Currently running a kuiu lt pro 5500, it does ok but I feel like there are better packs out there. We recently did the bataan death march here in Nm, all the training for it kinda tore up my pack so I’m looking for a new one for this coming season. what’s everybody opinion? Guys, I've worn 14EE for damn near ever. I typically wear Lowas. This year, I noticed my toes were jamming into the the front of the boots. Ended up losing a few toenails. I have been running 7-8 game cameras for years and for some reason I am now having problems with AA batteries not lasting but a few days before dying. Have always bought Energizer off Ebay in the 100 or 144 packs and had good luck until this fall. When tested on a voltmeter the new batteries say 1.55 volts which I understand is a good reading for a AA battery. It all started when I bought some Energizer "Industrial" batteries that have the yellow label instead of red and black. Anybody else... Read more ..read more

Before they started making the Butler Creek stuff. They made a rubber scope cover called the QD scope cover that would attach to the stock of the gun so when you would take of the scope cover it would stay on your gun. They don't make them anymore and the one I used forever is getting worn down. I have searched all over the internet with not luck. Just curious what everyone is using for light weight backpacking sleeping bags? I'll be in the high country in September and am looking for some suggestions.
