Did a short combination shed and bird hunt. Walked about a 4 mile loop and then went to another area and maybe a mile loop. Good amount of moose sign and an incredible amount of coyote tracks. No sheds, no birds and maybe 2-3 inches of snow. Easy going right now but we are supposed to get 15 or so inches of snow over the next few days ..read more

Three of us finally got up to camp in Maine. Two nice days to look, but a little warm at 70+ degrees both days. I had to wear a head net most of the day except for the early morning hours. It is greening up fast so won't be going back looking for sheds. I found 2 I kept, one 16 lb and one 14 lbs. The other guys found a couple old ones that were pretty well chewed up and left them in the woods. It was nice to be hiking around the mountains again ..read more

Took a walk the other day and found these about 10 feet apart where I had been feeding this winter. We had been trying to get this buck during the season, but never saw him in the daytime. I think he is 4.5. Not a very impressive rack but some thickness to them. Be interesting to see what he grows this season ..read more
