Just got back from a great early-season BFT 3 days aboard the Polaris Supreme. I started to get the itch in mid-February and saw there was one opening on this trip and decided to snag it. Got to Seaforth at 5 am signed in at 5:30 and departed right around 7 am with a fully baited boat. Alyar came down and gave the safety speech and what to expect early season BFT can be hit and miss. I had already rigged up 4 jigging rods a bait rod and a heavy nighttime rig so I was all set. Right around... Polaris Supreme 3 Day 03/14 -0317 ..read more

February looks incredible for Puerto Vallarta, reflecting on the exciting winter months gone by brings a smile to my face. January treated us to thrilling rod-bending action amidst fantastic weather, a trend that seamlessly continued into January. The pelagic fish have graciously lingered throughout the winter, with morning temperatures dipping to a cool 64 degrees, only to rise to a perfect 75 in the afternoon. It amuses me to see locals donning jackets in what I consider mild 63-degree... Puerto Vallarta fishing report 2024 February ..read more

If anyone is out trolling around BV and Nancen, i lost a halco 130 on this past weekends scatcat 56 hour trip (feb 9, 2024). It is in a 500lb (by captain jake's always good estimate. ) i didn't see it well, but the booger took off with my halco. Might have to look for it in other places aft of mouth. Didn't fight well, just slowly swam away. Someone asked me to make it jump, so cranked drag to old stella 1800 current max of 36lb. Nada. Started palming medium, then as much as my arthritic... lost Halco 130 sardine pattern. need help. reward offered ..read more

Welcome to the latest fishing report for December 2023 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This month brings about significant changes, primarily marked by cooling weather and adjustments in water temperatures both in the bay and offshore. Following the remarkable temperatures/fishing experience we had in November, which hovered around 83 degrees, the recent slight drop has impacted our inshore and offshore fishing strategies. See what's coming this December in our fishing report. In response to... Puerto Vallarta fishing report December ..read more
