Hi all was after some recommendation. I just purchased a penn mag4 reel and was looking for a good rod to used with the reel. Il be looking at casting further out than my second rod as that be more closer in. Something i cam mount the reel further dowm and lower on the rod. Also are the surf rods longer than the beachcasters as seen on videos? I have a 12ft beachcaster atm but wanted something that would help cast furter. Just recently retired again and moved here to South Wales and just got signed up. I'm a novice but love it and learn fast. Been fishing on and mostly off since I was a kid bass fishing in the farmers ponds in the States. I just do sea fishing now when I get the chance, well, now I got plenty of time.
