Greetings. New to the forum but have a rig building question. Live up in Montana and am using pulley rigs for shore fishing for Pike as they are much easier to cash bait longer distance. Have been building my own pulley rigs using 80 lb mono (which seems to be the norm) but am curious as to why no one (or at least that I can see) uses 80 lb braid for pulley rig construction? After 3 weeks of not fishing (except one day of shad fishing) due to a vacation with grand kids, I hit the water. It has been very windy for weeks.
