I just discovered Helene Wildbrunn and I was blown away, very few sopranos give me pleasure recorded acoustically. Farrar, now Wildbrunn, Ponselle, Rethberg, and there is something about my ear being "educated" to appreciate a soprano recorded acoustically whose voice I have heard in the electric medium. Gadski. There aren't too many. Thoughts? I have to re-hear my Rosa Raisa discs.

Hi All!
So sorry if this has been posted. Did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if we are ever going to see the final two installments of Gergiev's Ring? I'm dying to hear Stemme's Siegfried and Gotterdammerung. I ripped the Milan Ring to CD so I could hear her Siegfried Brunnhilde, but I'm curious if the rest of his Ring is ever going to see the light of day ..read more
