I just had to do training at the company on optimizing employee and computer performance processes.
We throw away stationary computers because they consume too much power, laptops are obsolete and too large. Each employee must go to work using a company cell phone, complete training using a cell phone, and scan products using a cell phone.
The company blocked websites outside the company. Where to print the document? At home. It's a waste of paper at work. This is what it looks like for you in the 21st century ..read more

Does anyone know how to upmix Dolby TrueHD 3.1 to AC-3 5.1 with Audacity? I'm asking because Audacity does not seem to complete a task on audio streams that are longer than around 30 minutes ..read more

Hi Doom9, I recently developed this:
https://github.com/LMP88959/Digital-Subband-Video-1
DSV1 is comparable to MPEG-1 / MPEG-2 but uses wavelets instead of the DCT.
I intend to use it as a video codec for my game but I believe it might be of interest to some of you here :)
Here is a little slideshow presentation I made explaining the codec and some of my thoughts on video compression:

Please understand I developed this codec out of passion and interest in the field, I didn't develop this for serious/professi ..read more

Obviously, the way to deal with it is with a purely spatial bobber like NNEDI3 in single-rate mode, but I'm interested in what could possibly cause such a bizarre phenomenon. Bad telecine hardware ..read more

As per manual it seems that prefilter BM3D is the best.
prefilter
8 = BM3D (temporal BM3D Cuda GPU filter)*
*Watch out for OpenCL or CUDA version compatibilities with your GPU vendor
I get
Script error: There is no function named 'BM3D_CUDA'.
So how can I make this work?

I know this is an old thread but I'm trying to test your script and getting errors. I don't know if some of the terminology changed in the Dogway dependencies? Do you have an update version ..read more

There are zillions of threads here and elsewhere, but probably 80% are discussing AVI/DivX/xVid/MP4 etc. and the rest if not dealing with advantageous buying (whatever actions, reductions, sellers etc.) then they are concerned about anything else than the correct reproduction of the image and/or sound (audio video quality). I call these discussions - featuritis.
Very rare, and in particular in the related German forum, some dilligent powerusers may comment somthing like "the inputs of XYZ-device is not 100% compliant, better use ZYX-Device instead". Of course, these comments were related to c ..read more
