I have an iPod touch that my daughter uses, and I'm trying to transfer music to it, but not my entire iTunes library. It doesn't come up in my sidebar or in the Music app, even though I've "trusted" my computer. Any ideas the easiest way to do this? Hi, I'm new to iPod Classic collecting. Prior to the purchase of a 4gen, can someone please advise me if with a dead battery, when connected to a charger, should there be some indication on screen to indicate a non charging battery? Or when connected to a charger, does no indication suggest that the lcd screen or hard drive may be defective? Pleasant surprise today. I took my 6th & 7th Gen iPod touch to the Apple Store to get the batteries replaced. Turns out they will exchange them for brand new iPods - for a fee. I purchased the 6th Gen model in 2015. Both still run, but the 6th Gen only holds a charge for a little over 2 hours. I'm so happy to be getting new iPods. Hi All, I recently decided to restore (using Finder) two of my iPod Nanos (7th gen) on my Mac Mini M1 under Sonoma 14.4.1. Both restores hung without completion. It was not possible to even eject. Even after rebooting the Mac Mini, they weren't recognized. In each case, I unplugged and connected them to a 2012 Mac Mini I have running Catalina. Hello all, I've got an old 5th gen video iPod, and I think it has been limping along too long. The click wheel finally gave out and it is having a hard time being recognized by my computer. The screen has been bad for years and definitely needs replaced. I'd love to have the whole thing repaired and modded to bring some new life to it. I have seen posts about this topic from several years ago. But, the solutions do not work for me. I have restored my iPod and tried the "reboot" method. I own a iPod Nano (7th Gen) - ME971LL. It works perfectly with my Sony MX4 Headphones and my Bose Quietcomfort earbuds. It also pairs successfully with my AirPod Pro 2. But, it does not play music on it. It is not that the music is soft. Since I'm regularly getting new audiobooks, I frequently need to change what's on my Nano--deleting old books and adding new ones. There's also a lot of music on there, but I rarely change that.
