Hello anyone reading this, I recent bought my first brand new iPhone and within 2 weeks it was stolen. I reported it as stolen with a few minutes of realizing it was stolen using the findmy app. Unfortunately I was not able to tracking it at the time since I had no data and also my location service were disabled. I have check the location and status of the phone every day since then however it has been offline. My girlfriend has shared holiday pictures to me via an iCloud link. There are over 500 photos/videos. When I try to download them all, it says "your download will begin shortly... Check your downloads folder for 'iCloud photos from ___'". The download never starts and there is nothing in my downloads folder. I am using Windows. I recently noticed that I have around 6 thousand duplicated photos. I started going through them, only around 900 are exact matches. However, the other 5 thousand have the same exact pattern if you say. I found that for some odd reason there is always one that’s a Live Photo, and the other it appears to be like a frozen screenshot of that specific Live Photo. I’ve tried quite a few times in recent times to try to upload my photo library into iCloud using iCloud for Windows and every time I try, in addition to be extremely slow, I always ending up having syncing issues where it won’t sync my photos completely. I’ve tried the old Windows version and well as the new Windows version that came out in February. I have an iphone- 128gb, icloud- 200gb, macbook- 995 gb I am a content creator, so I have a lot of videos and photos that I need on hand pretty much at all times. Therefore I’d like to keep them on my iphone. I recently noticed I was missing random files in some folders in iCloud. So I broke out my hard drive where I have a very crude manual backup of all my files and sure enough, nearly every folder is missing a few, or all files in that folder. Apple support was no help. The issue seemed to begin 6 months ago with my new MacBook and it always saying “uploading 200 items 1.3mb out of 2.4mb” it would never finish. It’s the only thing I can think of that would cause it. I recently purchased 200gb of icloud storage and now my iPhone automatically backups up but the other day I clicked "backup now" and it took hours to load but then I stopped and I thought I would do it another day bc my phone would reboot itself randomly (i have an 8 with system data storage problems). I checked now to try again and it says I have a backup of 49,08GB??? but it says the last backup was in April 2020. Hey there, im having an issue with my icloud for windows app, it wont let me log myself in altough i confirm the security key etc. i also reinstalled it, deleted my windows computer from my account and tried again, deactivated my vpn to ensure they're in the same network, used a code that was sent to me via SMS from apple (in contrast to the device code thing). But i still can't login. It just closes after a few seconds and then i have to start all over again without being logged in.
