Apple has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit over Family Sharing, agreeing to pay out $25 million to the class to put the matter to rest. Here's how to see if you qualify for your share.

The lawsuit was first filed in 2019 in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. The litigation -- "Walter Peters v. Apple Inc.," No. 19STCV21787, alleged that "Apple misrepresented to users their ability to use Family Sharing to share subscriptions to certain apps with other members of their Family Sharing groups."

Hi,
I have a Mac that I like to use Chrome with. I've got the iCloud keychain extension added to chrome and it works fine for password autofils. But, I can't seem to get it to autofil my address or credit card info.
Does anyone know if this function works on the iCloud keychain extension for Chrome?

Apple didn't expand the default and awful iCloud storage tier, but iCloud+ is getting significant boosts on the high-end.
iCloud+ gains new storage options
iCloud+ got a last-second mention during the Wonderlust keynote, but very little information was offered. Apple is adding a 6TB and 12TB tier for customers with extensive data storage needs.
The previous highest iCloud storage a user could have is 4TB, but that's only after jumping through some hoops. Users needed to subscribe to Apple One Premier for 2TB then add an additional 2TB for $9.99.

Heat Initiative, a child safety advocacy group, is launching a multi-million dollar campaign against Apple to pressure the company into reinstating iCloud CSAM detection.

Apple's free "My Photo Stream" service technically provides one way to upload recent photos, but the service is old, and Apple is finally ready to make the full transition to iCloud Photos for all users.

Apple announced iCloud Shared Photo Library as part of iOS 16, but it appears that the feature won't arrive in the iOS 16 release on September 12.
Create a Shared Library and choose who to share it with
Apple's iCloud Shared Photo library is a way to share photos and videos with up to five contacts so everyone can collaborate. But, it now appears that it's not going to see release in September.

The US' top cybersecurity official commended Apple's iCloud security, and believes Twitter and Microsoft should look to Cupertino for inspiration on how to get it done.
