The Godlove Family Restaurants/McDonald’s Female Athlete of the Week (April 8-13) is track & field distance runner Charlotte Lethander. The sophomore from Dayton, Ohio led the Lady Warriors track team to a sixth place overall finish at the competitive Waynesville track meet on April 13. Lethander scored 14.5 points (out of 62 total team points) for the Lady Warriors as she competed across three different events: 4×800 relay, 1600 meter run, and 800 meter run. Lethander placed in all three events she raced and set a new personal record in the 1600 meter run (5:44.56).

Senior, Isaac Scanlon added his name for a third time to the Dayton Christian baseball record book. Scanlon set the career RBI’s school record on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 during a non-league contest at Middletown Madison.
Scanlon recorded his 96th career RBI, surpassing DC Hall of Famer Zach Helm (’03) & Joe Hardy (’17), who both collected 94 RBI’s during their storied baseball careers.
The career RBI record is Scanlon’s third school record while at Dayton Christian. Scanlon also holds school records for single season doubles (12) and career doubles (19).

The Dayton Christian boys tennis team is ranked No. 2 in the latest MVTCA Coaches Poll which was released earlier today. Dayton Christian has earned a 7-1 overall record so far this season, with a loss to No. 1 Oakwood. The Warriors defeated Valley View, Milton-Union, and Carlisle earlier this season; and will play Chaminade Julienne, Miami Valley School, and Legacy Christian over the next few weeks.

The Godlove Family Restaurants/McDonald’s Female Athlete of the Week (March 25-30) is middle school softball player, Aubrey Workman. The eighth grader, from Springboro, Ohio led the Lady Warriors to a 1-1 record on the week in two games vs. Norwood and Middletown Christian. Workman led the offense with a .900 batting average over those two games. She was 2-for-2 with two doubles vs. Norwood; and was 3-for-5 with a single, triple, and a grand slam in a 37-17 win over Middletown Christian.

The Godlove Family Restaurants/McDonald’s Female Athlete of the Week (March 25-30) is girls varsity track & field distance runner, Isabella Ferriman. The senior, from Waynesville, Ohio opened the 2024 track season with a record setting performance in the 1600 meter run. Ferriman won the 1600 in a wire-to-wire finish at the Northmont Jack Lintz Invitational on March 30. Her time of 5:13.72 was a new school record for the girls track & field program!

Cheerleading tryouts for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year are scheduled for Sunday, April 28th from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Warrior Center.
Tryouts are open to any enrolled DC student entering grades 7-12 for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
All students planning to try out for a cheer squad (football or basketball), must attend the upcoming cheerleading clinics on the following dates/times:
April 24 from 4:00pm-5:30pm in the Warrior Center.
April 26 from 5:30pm-7:00pm in the Warrior Center.

Dayton Christian senior, Seth Edgerton, was listed on one of the Division IV All-Ohio Boys Basketball teams on Wednesday, March 27 as announced by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association (OPSWA). Edgerton made the All-Ohio Honorable Mention team.
Edgerton, a first year varsity player, averaged 10.6 points per game, to go along with 4.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.3 steals. Over twenty-five games, he shot 40.9% field goal percentage and was 69.0% from the free throw line. Edgerton was 50-0f-155 from the three-point line (32.3% average).
