The Godlove Family Restaurants/McDonald’s Male Athlete of the Week (May 20-25) is pole vaulter Lukas Ross. The junior from Miamisburg, Ohio qualified for his first State track meet in the pole vault following his fourth place finish at the OHSAA Div. III Regional Track championship meet at Troy High School on May 22. Ross cleared 14′-0″ on his second attempt at the height to individually secure his spot at the OHSAA State track meet at Welcome Stadium in Dayton. The Godlove Family Restaurants/McDonald’s Female Athlete of the Week (May 20-25) is girls varsity track & field distance runner, Isabella Ferriman. The senior, from Waynesville, Ohio earned her third “Athlete of the Week” honor this spring after her record setting run at the OHSAA Div. III Regional Championship meet at Troy High School on May 24. Ferriman raced to a first place finish in the Girls 1600 meter run, claiming her first individual Regional champion title! The Dayton Christian Athletic Department hosted its 2024 Annual Athletics awards program on Wednesday, May 1 in the Warrior Center. The annual awards program focuses on recognizing and celebrating our student-athletes’ accomplishments and announces our senior specialty awards.
