BCS Legacy Celebration
After a tropical rainstorm blew away the plans for the BCS Legacy Celebration on September 23rd, we gathered under tents on Saturday, September 30, 2023, instead to reminisce and celebrate God’s faithfulness to Bridgeton Christian School for 77 years. We displayed photo boards showcasing different years of the history of the school in many classrooms. We also provided boxes of photos for people to take as remembrances.
Many people took a final walk down the halls of the school. More than one former student was heard sharing their memories, including one who said she re ..read more

Grandparents’ Day 2023
What a fun day it was! During Bridgeton Christian’s Grandparents’ Day 2023, the school was filled with grandparents loving on their grandkids. They spent precious time with them doing projects in the classrooms followed by listening to a musical performance the students put on under the skillful guidance of our music teacher, Mrs. Maggie Whitt.
At BCS, we value ALL of the members of our students’ families. Having grandparents join us for a day adds to the family experience at our school. If that kind of atmosphere sounds like what you want for YOUR child, please contac ..read more

ReTURN the Favor
The upper grade students of Bridgeton Christian School participated in the ReTURN the Favor (horseshoe rescue) program at Fortescue. Mrs. Bond took part of a training session for the program in conjunction with the NJ Fish and Wildlife to obtain the permit necessary to lead a walk. Prior to the walk, students and chaperones learned the basics for handling the horseshoe crabs and under what circumstances to do so. The scheduled walk took place on two sections along the Fortescue shoreline during the falling tide. While swatting lots of gnats, many horseshoe crabs were rescued ..read more

Christmas Stories with Mrs. Dickinson
Christmas Crafts with Mrs. Bond

Bridgeton Christian School library
We are pleased to announce that our kindergarten-8th grade students now have a weekly library time. Mrs. Kelly Peterson is coordinating this program in conjunction with our daily D.E.A.R. time. D.E.A.R stands for “drop everything and read.” This is a 15-minute daily reading time which is built into our daily schedule immediately following recess. Once a week during the D.E.A.R. time, students visit our school library located in the upper grade hallway. The library contains around 2,000 books in a variety of genres. FRI-YAY! IT’S PJ DAY!
Day Five is PJ Day, our favorite day of Spirit Week! What’s not to love about coming to school in your PJ’s with your favorite stuffed animal? The whole day just feels cozier.
Family Environment
The fun we can have during Spirit Week is wonderful because of the family environment here at Bridgeton Christian. Students can express themselves without fear of anyone making fun of them or bullying them. Our older students look out for their younger schoolmates and encourage them. Our students and staff live out our theme verse.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern ..read more

Art Class Perspective
Some of the BCS students in Mrs. McArdle’s art class learned about perspective this week. Perspective is a technique that enables artists to add the illusion of depth to a painting or drawing.
See some of their perspective art work in the gallery below.
If you’ve been looking for a school that offers excellence in academics, loads of extras like these art classes, a close-knit family environment, and in-person instruction, we invite you to check us out.
We are accepting applications now for students who wish to join the BCS family for 2022 – 23.

Prayer request for the Singh/Kaur family
Earlier this week, BCS preschooler Yuvraj Singh and his family suffered a devastating house fire that took the life of Yuvraj’s sister, Mansirat Kaur, a fourth grade student at Hopewell Crest School. Our hearts are heavy, and we mourn with the Singhs over the loss of this precious young lady.
The fire also destroyed the contents of the home, creating the need for Mr. & Mrs. Singh to replace most of the family’s belongings. Our school would like to support the family by providing them with a gift card to enable them to purchase needed ..read more
