Dan Woolley of the Gold Coast took the win in the inaugural Southern Rumble in South Australia. In a strong line up of skateboarders from interstate and local Adelaide competitors in the open men’s division, Dan Woolley put on a very strong display in his runs to hold off Hamad from Melbourne, and Jack Saddler from Adelaide. Highlights from the open pro event saw Jack Lewis of Redcliffe make his return from injury slaying the rails with his trademark Back smiths, and blunts, while Pete Adam got highest score in best trick with his near perfect tre-flip off the 3 flat 3! “Dalts on the Bolts” Welcome to the second instalment of the ‘Daltron Files’. Phil D has written about Mike Donavan. Who is Mike Donavan you say… well read on! Or, you can learn your Australian Skateboard history rather than from some wannabe Soccer Skate Mum who thinks they know what skateboarding history is! But here is a hint… Belco… nothing more to say. Enjoy you f@cking wood pushers! When I was about 14 I started to take skateboarding seriously, I loved the challenge, the physical aspect of movement and the individuality. As a result I ended up spending most of my teenage years at Belconn ..read more

Rumble on the Reef 2022 will be remembered for various reasons, but hopefully more so for its skateboarding and the talent that was put on display rather then the controversy surrounding athlete parents who thought it was okay to abuse and threaten event officials. Nonetheless, we at Australian SkateBoarder Magazine are just going to concentrate on the skateboarding rather than a group of toxic parents who frankly should just f$ck off out of our Australian skateboarding scene. In the open final, Rome Collier of Brisbane took out the honours in a display of style and power. While in the Bowl co ..read more

Matt Beer of the Sunshine Coast took out the much anticipated newly formed skateboarding series on the Sunshine Coast at Alex Headland. Matt Beer Crail Air. Photo: Mark Fulloon With rain delays hampering and extending the competition, Matt Beer threw down three runs that kept him in the lead against a crack Santa Cruz skate team. However, it was Matt’s final run that sealed the win, and Ethan Copeland of Santa Cruz Skateboards had to contend with 2nd place behind the Sunshine Coast local.
