So last year a friend of mine sent me this idea to pick a word to set the tone for the upcoming year. I quite love it. The idea is to choose a word that will work as kind of polestar. Core skills and foundation behaviors. Why do we need them, what are they and why should we spend time building them?? Doesn't matter what we want to do with our horses, these behaviors can be used to build whatever we want…but if we want to build dressage in new ways without guiding our horse with pressure this is of great importance. What are the first behaviors that we should train our horses?
