The Sale branch was thrilled to welcome Pippa back to work after ten years of retirement. Her response on returning to work was that “retirement doesn’t suit everyone.”. She had more to give back to others and was keen to care for those who needed additional support in their home. She celebrated her 70th birthday on her return to work and was showered with gifts and cake. The team was thrilled to share this milestone with her and welcome her back. Pippa loves meeting new people, finds the role incredibly rewarding and is incredibly proud knowing that she makes a difference in people’s lives ..read more

Jane has recently joined her local gym and has been attending a couple of times a week. Jane had previously been looked after in a care home but changed to live-in care support with us in May 2022, where we assist with personal care, medication, meals and exploring the community.   Jane is an incredibly sociable person and likes to be out and about. This was something she missed when she was living in a care home. Her motivation to join the gym was to meet people and improve her physical strength, mobility, and mental health. Nadine and Julia from the Ramsgate branch cared for a couple and their dog after being hit by a car. ‘‘Myself and Julia were in a car park when we heard what we thought was an injured dog. We ran to the top of the car park and saw Susan and Iain lying in the road with their puppy. A car had hit Iain and it was like a domino effect and they all went down. We went over and sat monitoring them both whilst we waited for ambulances to arrive. Susan was very worried about Buddy the puppy, so my Care Co Tracey took him to the local vets to be checked. After an hour and a half, we were surrounded by p ..read more
