? You could be teaching your own pilates or Yoga classes by Summer of 2023 ❣️? EEEEK!!! Did you just wet your knickers at the thought of it! ? Maybe it was out of excitement or maybe out of absolute fear! I totally get it! There have been times in my life when someone has told me that I can actually have or achieve what I wanted and that’s when a part of me gets all excited and giddy and then the other part of me starts freaking out and I start thinking stuff like: ? I’ll forget all the names…… ? I’m not fit enough or good enough and I don’t look like “them” on Inst ..read more

How we deal with assessments anxiety in our Pilates & Yoga Teacher Training If anyone knows how horrible it is to sit assessments or exams – it’s me. I am not academic at all and have probably failed most exams in my life at least once! ? And it’s not that I didn’t study…. In fact I would study really hard…. But then you’re sitting there and the paper is in front of you and all of a sudden my mind goes blank and I can just about understand anything that’s written on the paper! ? Or… Just before I have to teach an assessment I don’t know whether I want to ..read more

Who is a good fit for our courses?

You may not be right for our Pilates and Yoga Teacher Training ? EEEEKKK how dare we say that! But it works both ways! We may not be right for you either ? Our courses are successful because we have a certain criteria we look for when accepting teachers onto our courses. I would rather have 2 people on a course who are incredibly committed than 6 people who don’t share the same values and passion. It’s really important to us that the energy of the group is of a caring and family orientated nature. We care for you and how you progress through your training and we a ..read more

Wondering if now is the right time to do your Pilates or Yoga Teacher Training❓ I’m all for taking on challenges and going for it…. BUT, sometimes “now” isn’t the right time….. Last year I was so excited as I had signed up for a 500hr Yoga teacher training course (yes even teachers need to keep their education up to date) and I had all the new pens and post- it-notes ready to go…. (Does anyone else out there have a stationery fetish?) And two weeks into my training, my father passed away and as if that’s not bad enough it was smack in the middle of a lockdown and I couldn’t go back to South A ..read more

This is actually something I’ve heard from several people saying to me …. One part of me loves hearing that, as it is telling me that what I’m putting out there is showing the value our courses provide. Another part is saddened that these teachers have finished their training and yet they’re still not feeling confident when it comes to: ✅ How to deal with certain medical conditions within the class ✅ How to create lesson plans for the classes ✅ How to apply the anatomy knowledge to pilates  ✅ Standing up in front of people to teach a class, because they don’t know how to adapt or modify e ..read more

What’s stopping you from becoming a qualified teacher❓ You love doing pilates / yoga and you love how it makes you feel after a class ? You’ve had a tiny little idea in your mind that perhaps you could become a teacher BUT then…. The little devil voice pops up saying  “You can’t do that move how can you even think of becoming a teacher”  And then you put the idea to one side and forget about it for a few months or even a few years, but deep inside is still that tiny little nudge to become a teacher. My question to you is this….. Do you think Usain Bolt’s coach can run as fast as he c ..read more

Can’t stand up and teach

OMG THERE’S NO WAY I CAN STAND UP IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AND TEACH PILATES! If this is how you feel right now….  I’ll let you in on a secret…… When I first did my teacher training, I didn’t actually have any intention of teaching classes.   ABSOLUTELY NO WAY! I wanted to do some courses before, but pulled out of because I was so nervous about talking in front of people and I’ve missed some amazing opportunities because I was a scardy pants! Just the thought of standing up there with my sweaty hands and armpits (and other things!) and just thinking about it would make me feel sick!   ..read more

Bad teacher VS good teacher

What makes YOU a bad teacher VS a great teacher❓ In my opinion anyone can become a teacher.  Apart from the nerves of standing up in front of people, teaching isn’t “hard”, but it still doesn’t mean you’ll be any good at it! ? Think of all the classes you’ve attended before and can you remember classes that weren’t great or classes that were awesome. Can you pinpoint what made that difference for you? Did you… ? Feel Seen❓   Was the teacher paying attention to what YOU were doing ❓ ? Feel Safe❓  Were the exercises appropriate for you and you weren’t being pushed to do something ..read more

Email Lists – Have you Got One? If you speak to anyone who knows anything about marketing they will agree with me that if you want to have a successful business you NEED TO HAVE AN EMAIL LIST. So what is an email list and how do you get one? I am sure you have seen things online where you can get a free e-book or video IF you put your email address into the box. Well what that does is it adds your email address to a bulk email system and that is worth gold. ? People are very very rarely ready to buy on the first point of contact so an email list provides an opportunity for ..read more

They say 60% of businesses close within the first 3 years. I’ll say that again…. 60% of businesses do not make it through their first 3 years. 80% of businesses fail within their first year AND Only 42.4% are still trading within 5 years! And these are PRE-COVID stats and who knows what the stats are like now after Covid. Can you see now why it’s so important to take your business seriously or you may just become one of the statistics…. When really….. Having a successful business IS ACHIEVABLE and AVAILABLE to you…. BUT you do have to put some effort into your business and building success ..read more
