Roasted maple carrots are a classic, are they not? Maybe that’s just the Vermonter in us, but as we approach late autumn we just start to crave them! The days are shorter, the mornings often start with a frost. Our gardens are no longer rich in color from the summer but that doesn’t mean our plates have to be beige. Needless to say, we love a good maple glazed carrot! But we especially love them when we “make them fancy” for our annual Thanksgiving gatherings with family. Seated at one, comically long table, we pass our fixings down and around so that everyone gets a taste. The maple ..read more

One of the questions that we are most frequently asked is “can you use maple syrup in your baking recipes?” and “how??” So let’s start there. Yes! You can use maple syrup in your baking recipes. You can use maple sugar too if you have it- just use it just as you would regular sugar in a recipe. For using maple syrup though, you’ll want to be mindful of adjusting other liquid ingredients to ensure your recipe doesn’t become too runny. Don’t let this intimidate you though! Using maple syrup in your baking is a super easy switch to make. Plus, maple syrup has so many more benefits ( like vitamins ..read more

Happy 4th of July! After a year in quarantine from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, we have missed our family gatherings. Our home state of Vermont “returned to normal” with our guidelines earlier this spring and we are looking forward to getting back to our tradition of enjoying 4th of July weekend with family. Pot-lucks are the style of our shindigs as we enjoy swimming in the pool, playing cornhole and volleyball, and hand-churning ice cream (we love the weekends when we get to feel like kids again!) It’s also no secret that part of the Stewart Maple family is notorious for running late…all the ..read more

As we roll into late winter, the days feel like the really start to drag. The weather is still cold, but mud season is underway and for us that means the sap is flowin’ and sugaring season is here! For the Stewart Maple crew, we start to see summer is just around the corner, but still not close enough for us to really enjoy the warm days that make the sap flow from the trees. And I’m sure we are not the only ones who start to become so bored with the crock-pot dinners and comfort foods we’ve been eating since the harvest season (seriously, we love mashed potatoes but there is only so many days ..read more

We hope you enjoy! Ingredients: • Two racks of baby back ribs • ½ c Maple Sugar • 1 ½ tsp paprika • 1 tbsp salt • 1 ½ tbsp pepper ..read more
