This bread is a win-win-WIN here in our house... 1. First, bananas at the store that everyone really wants quickly become bananas on our kitchen counter that nobody actually wants. Every. Single. Time. There's no better feeling than saving those grumpy, spotted bananas from going in the trash and giving them a new purpose-- banana bread! 2. Makes about 36 squares You will need a candy thermometer. Ingredients: 2-1/4 cups Pure Maple Syrup 1 cup heavy cream 3 tbsp salted butter ...that's it! Directions: Grease a loaf pan and then line it with parchment paper, leaving enough to grab on both sides of the pan. In a large saucepan, bring the Pure Maple Syrup to a boil over medium heat and then simmer for 5 minutes. Pay close attention as the syrup will foam up as it cooks. Six years ago today, snow was heavy on the trees. Branches hung low, and a fresh white fluff blanketed the ground. It was my favorite kind of wintery day.
