George Swift - European Racing Report On May 16th I left NZ with my Mum and Dad and headed to the UK to start the 5-month self-supported tour of Europe for 5 rounds of the UCI Enduro World Series, luckily enough my Aunty and Uncle loaned us their camper van to travel in. We headed off from Nottingham to the Dover to  Calais Ferry on the 26th of May, which turned into the first drama of the trip. Louise Kelly - European Racing Report The first Europe block of the UCI Enduro World Series wrapped up 8 weeks ago.    We raced in Pietra, Ligure first up at the beginning of June. Pietra is an epic place, a place I really love riding and I was super excited to get back racing here as this was the first race I ever did outside of New Zealand in 2020. Successful Enduro MTB National Championships to return to Nelson After the success of the inaugural event, the Enduro MTB National Championships have been confirmed in Nelson for 2024 and 2025, Cycling New Zealand announced today. The front country cull will be finished by end of today. Front country reserves will open tomorrow. These are – Atmore, Tantragee, Brook, Eureka, Marsden and Ngati Koata whenua on Codgers and Fringed Hill. Back Country reserves will remain closed till 5pm Friday 2nd June. TRAILS CLOSED NCC, Ngāti Koata and Tasman Pine Forests Ltd have contracted a team of professional hunters (Trap and Trigger Ltd) to undertake culling of ungulate species (i.e. deer, goats and pigs) in the following areas (see map below): The Back Country Cull: Maitai and Roding Water Reserves. These areas will be closed 24/7 for the date range of the operation, the exception being the Coppermine Trail which will be open on weekends from midnight Fridays until midnight Sundays only . There was a great turn out at the 2023 AGM, thanks to everyone who made the effort to come along, we had over 50 members in attendance. The NMTBC committee enjoyed meeting with members, being able to answer questions and receive feedback from attendees. Thanks to Matt Ball for doing a great job of chairing the meeting and to all the NMTBC Committee portfolio holders who shared summaries from their portfolio. HArvest Update With the upgrade of Glider Road having now commenced ahead of the upcoming harvest, we are going to more stringently manage the use of Glider Road for both walkers/bikers and vehicle access.
