We couldn't be more stoked to introduce our NEW CORPORATE PARTNER - Peak Performance Painting. Meet Joe & Eric: the rad mountain bikers behind Peak Performance Painting.
They are perfectionists at what they do, and won't hit the trails until the job is done. If you are looking for residential or commercial interior and exterior painting - this is the team you want! They also own and operate their own manlift - which means Christmas Light installations and vaulted peak style projects! Their reputation both on and off the dirt is stellar.
Thank you for supporting our trails and being part o ..read more

You may have seen a few weeks back that work started back up at Quarry Lake Park. Our trail crews have moved onto the second phase of the project that will see a multi-height drop zone, with a ride around, added to the existing network. More drop features are something many of our members have stated as a priority and we’re excited to be executing on it.
The new drop zone was part of the original Quarry Lake Park trails proposal that was approved by the Town of Canmore council back in 2017.
A special thanks goes out to Mark Ridgely and Shaun Jaimeson from Ridgely Construction for donatin ..read more

For starters we want to say a huge thank you for being a CAMBA fan and supporting trails and mountain bike advocacy efforts in your riding community. CAMBA currently represents over 375 individuals and is part of a vibrant, enthusiastic, and amazing community. So thank you for helping to take CAMBA from humble beginnings in 2016, to the thriving organization it has become today.
It’s very difficult to fathom how much has changed in our world over the last month. Thinking that recent provincial funding cuts to parks staff and trail infrastructure was going to be our main challenge for 2020, we ..read more

Continuing our series about highlighting the people behind the scenes that work for better trails in our community, we come to CAMBA President, Justin. Justin has been a volunteer with CAMBA since 2017 and on the board of directors since 2020. In 2021 Justin was elected as President, and along with Past President (and current Vice President) Chad, and Executive Director Laura, the three oversee all of CAMBA's operations.
Justin moved to the Bow Valley in 2007 and instantly fell in love with trails and mountain biking. When CAMBA was formed in 2016, Justin saw an opportunity to give back t ..read more

While we're down to a skeleton trail crew of Trail Boss Andrew and Trail Crew Supervisor Luke, it's still full team ahead, making use of the great Fall weather and extended build season.
Project Top Gunn
Luke has been working alongside the Starr Trail Solutions crew on "Project Top Gunn" at the Canmore Nordic Centre. This week saw some exciting additions in the form of large wood structures on the trail. The most significant of which is a large "dragons back" feature. (Inspired by the all important strike maneuver in the new Top Gun: Maverick movie perhaps?)

This weeks trail report is another double hit from the past two weeks, with heaps packed in. It was a busy last couple of weeks for our crew who spent time in multiple locations working hard to get as much done before the crew finished for the summer.
Cloudline
It was a momentous day on Cloudline last week! The excavators that were cutting in the alignment, run by Alberta Parks, finally touched buckets! After two long seasons of digging the whole of the trail now finally connects. Whilst there is a huge amount of shaping and finishing work to be done the trail is now whole and passable.
