On April 6, 2024, the Ohio Theta Emerging Chapter at the University of Cincinnati was officially reinstalled. Originally founded in 1898, Ohio Theta is excited to be back on campus. Efforts to return began back in November 2022. The chapter house was filled to near capacity, with members, volunteers, alumni, General Headquarters staff, parents, and friends of the chapter in attendance. Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals has won this year’s Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, sponsored by Phi Delta Theta. The Fraternity presents the award annually to a Major League Baseball player who best exemplifies the giving character of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig. The award was first presented in 1955 and is permanently maintained at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York.
