Police in the Inland Empire are looking for those responsible for burning a 3-month-old puppy and abandoning it along with another puppy in San Bernardino. Last Thursday, the city’s animal services was called to a vet’s office on West Highland Avenue, after staff found two lab retriever puppies in the parking lot. Vets say one pup, now named Ember, suffered severe injuries and needed immediate treatment. The other puppy was not harmed. A teenager was arrested Wednesday for allegedly opening fire at other teens, killing one of them and injuring the other. Investigators with the San Bernardino Police Department took the 16-year-old gunman into custody at his constitution school. “Two lives were lost,” Lt. Instead of April showers, the mountain community of Running Springs is getting April flurries. Spring storms have been sweeping through the San Bernardino mountains in recent weeks, bringing several feet of snow. San Bernardino police stumbled upon two young alligators two and a half feet long while investigating a squatter case on Santa Fe Street last week. Animal services were called in to retrieve the reptiles.
