Israeli healthtech startup Biobeat and Best Buy Health are teaming up to integrate the capabilities of Biobeat's wrist and chest monitors, tying them into Best Buy Health's Current Health platform.
The big box retailer, which acquired home care platform Current in 2021, will feature Biobeat's wearables as part of its remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions.

AI-backed remote monitoring and digital therapeutics company Biofourmis confirmed the company's cofounder Kuldeep Singh Rajput stepped down as its CEO just one month after the company laid off 120 employees worldwide, 48 of whom were in the U.S.

The digital health arm of India-based pharmaceutical company Lupin has unveiled its e-clinic attending to heart failure patients.
Called Lyfe, the virtual clinic is manned by a team of paramedics, nurses, cardiotherapists, health coaches and care managers who support cardiologists in managing their patients. Casana, maker of a health monitoring smart toilet seat, announced this week it had received its first FDA 510(k) clearance.
The startup's Heart Seat received the agency green light for monitoring heart rate and oxygen saturation in adults at least 22 years and older who weigh 90 to 350 pounds. Casana said the battery-powered seat can run for several years without recharging, sending health data to providers and notifying them when parameters are outside of a set threshold.

Israeli-based Neteera, which offers contactless remote patient monitoring, announced it had closed a Series B funding round worth about $13 million.
Aescuvest led the round, alongside existing and new investors Nanz Family Office, Omega Healthcare Investors, Esas Private Equity and Ankor Holding.

One of the key tenets of New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System's remote patient monitoring program is choosing easy-to-use devices that don't require extra technology on the patient's end, said Cathleen Mathew, director of condition management and population health.
