The Board is very pleased to announce the recent appointments of David McAllister AC, Lynda McAlary-Smith and Gerlinde Scholz to The Australian Ballet School’s Board of Directors. David McAllister AC is well known to you as an alumnus of the School with a career history spanning Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet (2001-2020), after rising through the ranks to Principal Artist. We are thrilled to announce that a member of our faculty, former Principal Artist of The Australian Ballet, and alumni of The Australian Ballet School, Ty King-Wall is stepping into the coveted role of Artistic Director at the Royal New Zealand Ballet! After graduating from The Australian Ballet School in 2005, New Zealand-born Ty joined The Australian Ballet, where he was promoted to Soloist in 2010 and Principal Artist in 2013.
