The Lancaster Craft Beerfest will be on Saturday, Aug. 24, and organizers say it will be at Binn's Park and the new Ewell Plaza downtown. Portions of the Route 30/222 interchange will be closed as part of an improvement project beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, May 10. The eastbound detour for Route 30, provided by Lancaster City Police. The closures will impact Route 30 and the Route 222 bridges over Route 30, and will last until 5 a.m. Monday, May 13, weather permitting. According to Ephrata Police, a resident reported receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be from "Unit 16" and soliciting money for the police department.
