On August 21st the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association filled the Arboretum with sculptures on plinths! Approximately 450 people came through to see the one-day show, which was nothing short of spectacular. Two sculptors even provided demonstrations for guests and all the sculptures were for sale. Special thanks to Carl Nelson of NWSSA and to our event sponsors Newland Construction and the NW Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society. Free and open to the public each evening in December from dusk to 8 PM, it was so well-received we will definitely be doing it again in 2021. In 2019, foot traffic during December was 550 people; In December of 2020 that number grew ten-fold to 5,500. Giving Tuesday is November 30th and The Small Tree Walk Renovation Fund is the project we have chosen to highlight. Our goal is $5,000.
