When I was younger, my favorite sport was basketball, growing up in the 80’s & 90’s in Arizona was a frustrating time for a young Phoenix Suns basketball fan. We had a team that wasn’t bad but was never good enough to win the whole thing. When I was 9 or 10 years old my father put up a basketball hoop on the edge of the roof of our ranch home and I spent countless hours out there in the driveway preparing to be the Suns answer to all their playoff woes. I practiced making the game winning free throws with no time left on the clock, but my favorite scenario was the running 3-pointer at the ..read more

This Sunday we will attempt to close out the Genesis timeline with the life of Joseph. Very few figures in the Old Testament are as direct a correlation to the Messiah as the life of Joseph. So much can be seen about how God would unite the Gentile and Jewish worlds under Himself. Even the landscape of Egypt and Pharoah play important prophetic roles on God’s plan of redemption. I encourage you this week to open the book of Genesis and read chapters 37-50. As you read, be looking for the parallels and qualities of Jesus in the life of Joseph. Is he prophetic, does he forgive, does he exhibit ..read more

This sermon series, “From Creation to Christ”, has been amazing to see God’s plan from the beginning and rich tapestry of history and leads to and from Christ.  The Bible is filled with fallible people and we get to learn from their failures and their triumphs.  I am reminded of the verse: ‘These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! ‘ 1 Corinthians 10:11-12 This is a word of warning to us all, even those of us who have been Ch ..read more

Last Saturday was the annual Compassion Queen Creek medical, dental and social service fair held at Poston Butte High School. Hundreds of volunteers got up early to serve hundreds of guests and Lifepoint Church was a large part of that. We sponsored breakfast and served over 250 cups of coffee and gave away around 500 various food items. It is always fun being one of the first people to spread a smile and take care of basic needs at the start of another’s day. Many other LP family members served in various areas throughout the event. Greeters met the guests at the entrance and brought them to ..read more

As the founder of My360 project and a former senior pastor, I understand the biblical importance of partnership with churches, and the importance of churches partnering with Missions. I wholeheartedly appreciate Life Point for their step of faith with us these last few years. You’ve sent teams, impacted lives, and even support us on a monthly basis. All of these allow us to share the good news of the Gospel with thousands of children! Last year we finished with 17 countries, and this year we are hoping to add 2 new ones! We couldn’t do any of this without Life Point’s teams and monthly s ..read more

From Creation to Christ

I am looking forward to starting a new series this Sunday, entitled, From Creation to Christ. Growing up in the church meant that by the time I hit junior high I had been taught all the popular Old Testament Bible stories and had them illustrated to me on flannel graph, if you were not raised in Sunday school in the 80’s then look it up…it was quite possibly the greatest teaching tool ever created. I knew about Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Isaac, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, Sampson, Saul, Jonah, Danial, David, Solomon, Isaiah and about a dozen others. I could tell you what each character ..read more
