If you were going to plant a seed to “please the Spirit” what kind of seed would it be? Where would you plant it? How would you take care of it? God gave planet earth a law in the form of a statement. Here it is: “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.  This law is genius. When sowing a seed, if it sprouts (germinates), it produces a plant of the same species as the plant it came from. Let us not race past this. It is fundamental block for human survival. Many people, even people who have been churched, do not know how to really pray. They either think of it as a wish list, positive affirmations, or something like that. Some people have an idea that it is supposed to be conversational. Others may thinking of it as something route that you do as a habit like your personal hygiene. None of what you will see below is original to me. I have compiled it from scripture, the desert fathers, and many Christians who went before me. I took many pictures, but none of them were as cool as the ones you can find on the GT Butterfly House Facebook page. At TC Journey ..read more

Believing he is armed with knowledge and insight why would he ask an obviously blind man, who had been loudly shouting his name: “What do you want me to do for you?” The man’s answer is simple. ”Lord, I want to see.” The man in this short phrase communicates something powerful. He admits a deficiency. He believes Jesus can repair this deficiency. The nature of his request is to have a capacity restored to him. Do not miss this. This m ..read more

A shorter video version of the blog below with Pastor Luke. The importance of food, together, with people. Ancient practices for today.   I was having a typically American moment as I listened to Lunching@Work by the podcast Rough Translations,  “When Eating at Your Desk Is Forbidden.” The subject of the podcast, Kaitlin, is an American living over in Paris, France. She explained a mixture of feelings including guilt about the lack of productivity she experiences when she takes a full lunch. By any standards, the French take long lunches. Often, two hours or more. It was, until Covid ..read more
